These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of Sudoku, a free web-based puzzle game available at sudoku.chrisclark.net.
Sudoku is provided as-is for your personal, non-commercial use. You may play and enjoy the game free of charge. You may not:
The game is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. I do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components. Your use is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Sudoku, including loss of data, scores, or enjoyment.
Your game scores and statistics are yours. They are stored in your browser's local storage and are not shared or sold. By signing in with your Google account, you consent to store your scores in your browser's local storage, keyed by your Google account ID. You may delete this data at any time by signing out or clearing your browser's local storage. Signing out does not prevent you from playing — it only disconnects your Google account.
The game is free. If you choose to donate via PayPal or Venmo, your donation is a voluntary gift with no expectation of goods or services in return. Donations are non-refundable. PayPal and Venmo process your payment under their own terms and privacy policies.
Sudoku puzzles are generated algorithmically in your browser. No puzzle is specially crafted to be easier or harder based on your gameplay history or personal data. All players receive fairly-generated puzzles of the same difficulty level.
Sudoku may contain links to external websites (e.g., donation services, this privacy policy). I am not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Use at your own discretion.
I may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the game after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
