About this Sudoku game

This is a free, no-ads, mobile-friendly Sudoku puzzle game you can play right in your browser. Pick your difficulty, start a new puzzle, and solve the 9×9 grid so every row, column, and 3×3 box contains the digits 1 through 9 exactly once.

How to play

Click an empty cell, then click a number on the pad (or press 1–9). Toggle Notes to jot down candidate numbers as pencil marks. Use Erase to clear a cell, Hint to remove an incorrect note, and arrow keys to move around the board. The puzzle is solved when every cell holds the correct digit.

Keyboard shortcuts

↑ ↓ ← → — Move the selected cell. If no cell is selected, the first arrow press lands on the center cell.
1–9 — Place that number in the selected cell (or, in number-first mode, highlight the digit and click cells to drop it in).
0, Backspace, Delete, or E — Erase the selected cell. The Erase button is disabled when the selected cell is empty or is one of the puzzle's given numbers.
N — Toggle Notes mode on/off.
H — Use a hint on the selected cell (removes one incorrect pencil mark).

Difficulty levels

Beginner — more starting clues, ideal for learning Sudoku.
Intermediate — fewer clues, balanced challenge.
Expert — minimum clues, requires advanced solving techniques.
